Can't find a dealer to increase my timing!!!

I have been to numerous Nissan Dealerships and none of them are willing to increase the timing on my 02. If anyone has any suggestions or has a hook up at a Nissan in the NYC/NJ/Philly area please let me know.

It's computer controlled... you can't adjust it like you would a normal (older) car with a distributor.

he is talking about how you can advance the software through the ECU on the 02/03 which requires a dealer to do it.

Have you tried Koeppel Nissan in Queens? Their customer service is up to par.

Any Max with a Consult II port(late 99 to 2002) can be advanced.

Re: Re: Can't find a dealer to increase my timing!!!

The problem with going to the dealers is they are afraid to increase the timing for liability reasons and say they dont want to be responsible for damaging anything. Its not that their customer service is bad. One dealer even said "we dont make cars race cars here"...

I was having troubles with my tranny and I went to this dealer near my town. They were looking over my car and started getting smart with me and lecturing me about how they spent so many years designing the car to have maximum performance and that intakes and so on just harms the car. They were real a$$holes about it. If I would have ask them to upgrade something they probably would have tried to kill me or something.
