Thought I'd give input since Sam is a very good friend of mine. Got some info through a friend who talked to Sam earlier today at the hospital. Sam only has broken rib, bruised all over, and a broken heart over Kevin's passing. The situation that occurred after Sam, Kevin, and two other co-workers in a white Supercharged Cobra were coming back from lunch at Chilis. They weren't racing each other, but just playing around while coming back. For those of you who know about Sam's car and a SC Cobra, then you can understand how easy it was for them to get up to a high rate of speed. Evidentally the Cobra was behind Sam when he hit the brakes because of traffic and an upcoming intersection. The Cobra must not have noticed, because he evidentally clipped Sam in the rear of the Jetta which put him into a spin of chaos. The jetta, after all finished, was split completely in half and 60-80ft apart from each other and Kevin being no longer. All that Sam remembers is him braking for traffic, getting hit from behind, and being airlifted out to the hospital. That's it. At this point the driver of the Cobra and Sam will probably be slapped with vehicular manslaughter. Hate to see a great and generous individual have his life ruined because of this (not that his best friend dying wasn't enough). Anyway Slow down and keep your head. I was just told that Sam was released from the hospital today.. I am going to try to call him later.. You guys should shoot him an e-mail.. And just to let everyone know Sam "usually" only raced at the track and took it easy on the streets.. I was very surprised when I first heard about this..
