My weekend Project -> Pics

I think that this came out really well. The LED's are brighter in real life and shed an "erie blue glow..." The pic is bad, there are not the black blotchy patches in person, just a solid blue glow...

Im sure every one will say it is "gay" or "ghey" but i like it alot.

Creative idea ... looks eerie, but hey, as long as you don't drive with them on ... shouldn't have a problem.

very eyecatching.. i assume it is done like the blinking alarm leds. really turns heads. especially thieves. but since it is on a switch it should be good..

I like the idea of having it on when just sitting parked.. if it doesn't kill the battery..

If their led's they should have hardly no effect on your battery...

I like it, but I would do it in another color.

1,000 points for doing something different!

I really like that also. If you wouldn't mind I am sure that there would be quite a few folks that would like a write-up on this.

RE: a writeup

These are by no means easy to do...
It took me about 16 hours to install them, but that may be longer because there was designing to do...

I will try to do a writeup, but it will be long and complicated.

Ill get back to you guys...

wow that looks hella pimp.

I'm guessing you just go get LED's (12V) and position them in there... hell, you can even do a ghetto-job on it because they'll be behind the lenses. I'm guessin the hardest part would be the fog lights... wiring should be simple too. Hmmmmmmmmm...... mad props to u man!

Hmm... i have a 96... cloudy lenses. I wonder how they'd turn up. I guess ill try this on cloudy lenses and see how they come up.

I really didnt think it went to that extent. Cali guys have noooo taste man. Those lights look sick. I seen this car parked around my way with a kind of led type thing in his headlights that looked kind of like an alarm scanner. They looked sick. I bet if you got a better cam they would look better.

I guess west coast cats do have something to contribute. Yo Nick has an average of like 9 posts per day compared to the acceptable .5 or something lololol. This is too funny.

Not to take anything away, but this is hardly a new mod. Half the civics by my house have this. There are plenty of LED kits that are plug and play on headlight housings. The kits come with the leds and the plugs, all you do is drill the hole.

I think it looks nice, but i wouldn't want someone to mess with my car because the lights flash.

BTW here is one quick site that sells the kit:
http://store.autotoys.com/cgi-bin/wf...ADLIGHTLED&2D1

If you don't want them to flash, just substitute regular LEDS for the flashing kind.

I knew they made them, but the way i did it you only need to drill (2) 1/16 holes in the lights as opposed to 1/4" ones. Also that costs 20 bucks for two, i did all 10 lights for under 20 bucks.

I guess thats the advantage of "Do It Yourself"...
