Hey guys,
I was getting a new set of 16" alloys for my car--mostly use them for summer tires while my 15" ones will be used as winter ones. The guy who is selling me the 16" rims have the original proxes A05 on them and the tread is very good. I didn't want to waste any money on getting a new set of tires yet, and I was wondering how those of you think of the tires--the Toyo Proxes which came stock with the car? are they alright in the rain? wet? are they quiet and can they handle or they pretty much suck like the goodyear rsa's?

thanks--

Brian

in my opinion, the A05 isn't very good in dry handling, wet traction and hydroplane resistance. they are merely average. the RE92 is close maybe even slightly better (certainly quieter). dunlop D60A2's are much better even though they are an old design. dramatically improved dry handling, wet traction and hydroplane resistance.

no

AO5's and GSA's are both crap IMO...

i had AO5's on my 92 GXE..
had GSA's on my 95SE.. i replaced them both and got all new tires for both cars..

Bridgestone Potenza Re930i

i keep tellin everyone this is a very good all season/sport tire...
