How to remove factory Bose single-din headunit?

I'm helping my girlfriend diagnose her factory Bose stereo. Right now, when powering on, there is a loud POP, followed by pass front speaker faint, buzzy but little radio sound and left rear deck speaker same as front. Other speakers no sound whatsoever.

I'd like to get behind the factory headunit - in case later she will want to replace the factory system. Can anyone post step-by-step instructions on how to get the dash apart to remove headunit?

Thanks in advance!

the problem isn't located in the hu though. it's the individual amps on each speaker. they are bad. you need to replace your speakers bypassing the amps and you will probably need a new hu (it's not bad though)
