Relax...that's the best advice I can give you. Don't forget everything you were taught just because the tester makes you nervous. You'll do fine.

Stay on the right even if there's no center line. Don't assume you're on a one way street. (Failed my first test bc of that)

Still remember that..12 years later...

good luck.

Yes, for my license.

The 2k2 Maxima is my parents car but they rarely use it. I am going to get to drive it to school! But..I am going to get my own car this december (I am thinking of a SE-R or a 4th Generation Maxima 5-Speed)

How fast should I drive on the road test? My friends are saying less than 15 mph..around 10mph. Is this correct? I hope so.
(I should rephrase this question to "How Slow Should I drive?")

Whatever the speed limit is..go 5 less. You'll be fine.

I took my test over a year ago make sure you know how to: Parallel park! Also know how to do a turn about, I had no clue that was the only thing I didnt know how to do. Just do the speed limit, stop at all signs, ALWAYS use blinker, and be nice to the instructor. If you are really doing bad during the test slip the guy a 20

Wasim521: Yeah, I am scared I am going to get a mean tester! I heard bad stories about some people and then there were really nice ones too! Let's hope I get lucky. Thanks!

JPMax: Dude, that sucks..I went to the testing center on a weekend when it was closed, we weren't allowed to go and practice but I still went (others were there too..so I guess if more than 1 person does it, it's fine?) and there are no center lines. Thanks for that tip bro!

Costcowholesale: Haha..yeah I will constantly keep looking both ways at the many number of stop signs they have over there. Thanks a lot!

Sprintmax: 5th gens are still better...until I get a 4th gen. That's when everything changes.

EvilS14: HAHAHA...GOOD PLAN! I swear that is going to cross my mind now, or I will just start laughing during the test.

BBaker025: I am a pro at K-Turns! Yes! but parallel parking...err I only practiced less than 25 minutes of in the last 6 months. I will do it once more tomorrow morning. Thanks!!!

MaximusMax: WHOA! THAT IS NOT FAIR! In NJ, if you were born in 1985 or after (i was born in 85) you have to part of this Graduated License Program. I still don't get my fully unrestricted license until next year. I can't bribe the guy! I need my money for mods! But mods are useless without a license...I am going to balance this thing out tonight. lol..thanks!

djPlayboy: Hahah. I will be really courteous tomorrow for sure. Thank You!

I feel I am a girl and dedicated a sweet 16 candle to each of you.

THANKS ALL! I APPRECIATE THIS!

Does anyone else think this is a little too much anxiety? I took my test in a parking lot, it was 1) do your car's brake lights work and 2) park in a space, back out, and drive back to original space. Maybe it's different if you're not in Florida or it's changed in the last few years...

Good luck regardless.

Yeah I know right..stay away from FL. They give anyone licenses..

I thank you all for your help because......I GOT MY LICENSE! Now I want to vote. Any one have tips on that? just kidding.

I had this female person who was so mean..I think she was looking for a way to fail me. I guess I am just too good for the system, and a great parallel parker. Well, thanks once again!

"most" ??? No. Most people who SHOULD fail on their first time do, maybe...

I had to drive around a block that included stop signs, Main St, parallel parking on Main St., accel to 45mph and merge, then back to the station to back into a parking spot. When I got there they were just taking some girl's BMW off the wrecker... she backed into a telephone pole!

Don't worry, don't speed, and don't automatically follow the tester's advice. Mine told me "turn left here" but if I had, I would have gone the wrong way down a one-way. Also, turn the radio off. They hate that.

Okay, I just did mine, and I have a few tips for you:

1. Do not abrubtly start off.
2. Slowly accelerate
3. Watch all road signs
4. Be courteous
5. Think of the tester as your friend
6. Go driving in the morning before the test to warm up
7. Ask all your friends about the driving rules in your area
8. Get your friends to test you
9. Make sure you know how to parallel park like there's no tommorow
10. Take some time to meditate before the test
11. If possible, take the test during hours of little traffic
12. Be right in between aggressive and assertive.
13. It is not as bad as everyone thinks
14. Don't be nervous or get hot. I didn't because the morning I went was cold.
15. Do not speed, if you go a little over speed limit, just let go of the pedal and slowly decelerate, do not just slam on the brakes.
16. DON'T SAY OOOOOPS......they might not notice you made a mistake until you say OOOOPS...
17. Do not ask if you can open the door to check if you are centered in the parking spot (this is a mistake i made).
18. CHILL!!!

be cool man, i'll add some more when i think of more

with my road test if we went more than 5 mph over the speed limit that was some points off and if we went more then 5 mph under that was points off.

relax but dont be too relaxed. you dont want to be so relaxed that you get cocky and do something you shouldnt do.
