Hey..i noticed in your sig that you filled all of your motor/trans mounts with urethane...how much more vibration is there afterwards? noticable difference in 'looseness' of the drivetrain? Think it was worth it?
I have some urethane now..was wondering it its worth the work hehe.

Thanks!

Well, I didn't wait long enough for mine to fully cure, so my front mount it completely shot again..

when they were working correctly (the first few hours), I noticed a small increase in vibes at idle, but nothing too bad... it FELT like the idle RPM was simply lower than before, so there was a little more vibration..
This was only while the car was in gear.. when it was in neutral or park, it still ran smooth as glass.

throttle response increased, and shifting was smoother and quicker..
now that my mounts are shot again, shifting is sloppy and vibes are back. I can tap the gas in just about any gear and get a nice loud "THUNK" out of the engine bay and you can feel the engine moving in it..
Just be sure to let the mounts cure fully before installing them on the car. I didn't and now I'm paying the price.

BTW.. Energy suspension is working on some mounts for us as we type.. they should be on the market by the end of january, and SHOULD be priced at under $100 for the set. this is for new mounts, not inserts.

you need to let them cure for a WEEK, not a day. I let mine cure for about 24hrs in 90degree summer heat, and they still didn't set completely before use..
follow the directions on the can anyway.. some brands may be different. mine said to let cure for a week... and from experience of NOT waiting, I would certainly tell you to follow the instructions on the can!
