97VW Jetta VR6. He has a s/c and exhaust(swear to god) madmax2k can back me up on that. with a 2.13 60' and ran 8.7@85mph 1/8 mile. The car wieghs 2875 without driver, so with me in it it is like 3025 or something. Its funny how much faster a 5 speed is than and auto(top end) He had the this settup on the same car but it was an auto and the best he ever ran was 13.2@104 and that was with the s/c AND NOS. The 5 speed is running more top end without NOS. I know I know but the car is so light and this and that, and this is a Maxima board, but like I have said before I like to share all my expiriences with all of you. So now I cant wait till the cams and new clutch is in, than the NOS, YEEHHAAWW.......

I back up 98MAX. Its got just a bolt on 9 psi Vortech blower and an exhaust. Ive driven the same car...and owned the same setup on my last car as well. It pulls damn hard for such a relatively small amount of modification and only a 2.8L 12V V6.

I guess we should be on the lookout for...

...the 24v 2.8L VR6 making its way over from Europe this year (finally!). 204HP. Going to be in the Jetta GT. Let the transplants begin!
On top of that, VW plans to make a 3.2L VR6 for the Jetta/Golf, and a 8cyl for the Passat... yikes
