Just got my new heavy 18x8 wheels w/ 245's on today.. CRAZY difference from my old 225 on 17s and 215's on 15's that ive been running since turbo.. hooks up SOO much better..

as if everyone couldnt have guessed that - just figured i'd share my happiness in my new tires.

glad to see your happy with 245's. If you go to the track do not let the air out. I went from 13.8 to 14 flat and running worse times so remember keep the air in the tire when you go to the track.

I had the same experience with new tires BUT I get the feeling its more to do with the old crappy tires vs new High performance ones than just the tire width.

18" polished saleen wheels.

and, I had 225' kumhos on a 17" wheel w/ good tread..

and now i have 245' kumhos on a 18" wheel..

so , its wider = better traction, plus the more weight of the 18" makes it harder to spin..

first gear still SUCKS b/c of traction though!

5 spokes gives that retro look, but it takes 7 spokes or more for the "in" look.....

some of the German cars have gone back to the 80's with the multi-spoked/finned look, it's like Jim Beam, everything comes full circle!

I'm with you. Last note I got from Nigel indicated some trouble
with kits missing parts so he's going to go over it himself when he
returns from his current trip in a week. And the wait continues...

Cheers,

JK

P.s. The above is not a slam on Nigel, I'm pretty sure it's a PFI
deal but I want BOOST.
