I think I missed it ...but here is a write up on it...did they do any research before coming up with the story...I was glad to see that they finally mentioned that you can buy them on the open, legal market. They had to throw Hondas in there too jeesh..http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/...in525191.shtml

Thanks for the info guys. VERY DISTRESSING, especially because I live in NJ.

Anyone know if there are HID alarms compatable with the 2K2/2K3 Maxima?!?!

oh probably..you could get a good shop to customize one...you can put sensors practically anywhere..there are a bunch of different types too....although if you think about it, you are gonna spend more for the hookup probably, or maybe about the same ....but hey, isn't that what insurance is for. You pay your monthly premiums, let them pay for it.

That's not the point, if you don't scare them away, they will just keep coming back for more.

Best way to solve the problem is to have an automatic weapon ready while you hide under the car. Not the safest, but the best.
Also, park in a garage whenever possible.

Good luck getting insurance to cover a mod. If someone breaks in to steal your new stereo, usually you'll have a BIG fight on your hands to get them to pay more than the cost of replacing the original stereo.

I'm not saying they won't, I'm just saying you'll have a big, months-long fight on your hands. GLE02NJ has the best idea so far...
