I just got back from Chicago and noticed that my car is bouncing quite a bit. I also noticed that it shakes a bit too and it never did that. Strange since I JUST had it balanced and it was fine; could the shocks add to the shaking?

Anyway, which are better? KYB G2's or the Tokicos? I am only keeping the car for another 8 months and then it's gone. Please advise of the best price and where thats at so I can get these this week!

Thanks,
SHUMAX

BTW..I am running H&R on factory struts/shocks for 35k now!

i got a h&r/stock strut setup. and it sucks big time. so im pretty sure ur struts are str8 dead. tokicos last for about 6ks, ive read post saying they are like stock struts painted a different color. and the kyb's are oem replacements.

KYB front strut isolators for SE's

I installed KYB's about a month ago along with the front strut isolators from them and the isolators are different than the isolator required for SE models. After many phone calls w/KYB and finally to Courtesy Nissan, I found out that the OEM setup uses part than what KYB sells currently. KYB has agreed to accept the return of the ones currently on my car. Now I've gotta make the time to re-install these suckers, so I'm going to install H&R springs now and replace the rear boot covers which are shot. BTW Nissan sells the isolators w/o the plastic bearing. The bearings comes with the KYB isolators. The bearing price from Nissan is ridiculously high though.

The problem and difference is with the fit between the upper boot and the lower isolator mount. The car makes noise like rubber rubbing together when you turn the wheel at very low speed. Like while parking.

KYB front strut isolators for SE's

I had the same problem with the KYB's. I got the KYB strut mounts with the struts and after installation would make this clicking sound. Well, it turns out that the strut mounts were incompatible with my 96 GXE so I ended up having to reinstall the original mounts. Big *** pain! Well, the Tire Rack agreed to refund the strut mounts and pay for the replacement of my originals. But the KYB's are so much better than my stock even though they are just replacements.

Sounds like a "Class Action" to me

I bet there are lots of people out there that have had this problem and resolved it similarly or NOT. How can KYB continue to sell these isolators when there's a know problem whose correction in very labor intensive. Gives me an idea or two though...
