New Personal Best! 2nd time at 1/8th mile track!

Hey Guys, I just got back from our local 1/8th mile track tonight. I came back with my new personal best: a 9.873 @ 73.216 MPH.

It's funny though, each time I've gone, my best time of the night is always my first run of the night. Does that make any sense?

I'm pleased, to say the least. For a stock I35 I think that's decent. I was also pretty happy to punch those numbers into this 0-60 calculator and come out with a 6.63 0-60 time.

I know they're not always accurate, but here's the calculator if you're interested: http://www.auburnextremeracing.com/info/60_times/

I am not sure about that 0-60 calculator, it gives me a time of time of 5.71 seconds for my best track time. I doubt that my time is that fast in my auto. My best ever on the g-tech was a 6.4 second pass.

What was your 60ft time? I am guessing high 2.3's?

The 5.71 sounds better though. I say stick with that!

You got it - 2.391 to be exact. I'm getting massive wheelspin, any ideas on how to cure this?

BTW - I know those calculators aren't that accurate, but compared with other times I've put in, it seemed pretty reasonable. Oh well

Never launched a 2k2, but you could try letting some air out of the fronts. 23-25psi. You could also try and heat your tires up some before launching, or at least spin them up to the line and make sure they are clean of rocks.

Once you get that 60 ft down you should see high 9.6's - low 9.7's.
