Hello! I'm a new Maxima owner!!!

hello Maxima.ORG!!! i am a new proud owner of a used 95 maxima gle...pearl white w/black leather...i must say... it drives like a dream...i just wanted to say hello to everyone and hope you can help me out with questions...i've already met a few guys from the org at mb autosports in whittier. Real cool guys and nice lookin maxes!! my lil bro works for mb autosports...if you guyz need parts check them out at mbautosports.com or call and ask for richard... i just had a few questions to ask...how much is it roughly to get a decent turbo?? i'm thinking its too expensive so would nos be the best way to go budget wise?? is nos too risky for your engine?? if i do get nos, how many shots is enough and safe?? i hear venom is a good product, true?? what products do u suggest for the best mods for my car?? i heard most springs make ur max stock height, what kinda springs can i get to make it look dropped(excluding coil overs)?? sorry for the excess amount of questions...but i'm only a new max owner and i only want the best for my max...and i'm also a newbie to this rice rocket stage...thank you all for ur patience and God Bless...

hope you enjoy your max! cant tell you about the turbo and n20 stuff but when they mean that some springs make your car stock height, they say that because the max has an extra big/ high ride height so alot of lowering springs will make the max look "normal" which will still look un lowered to most people who see it but its very noticable if you park nest to a stock height max. Lowest springs you can get are Sprint springs which are 2" drop. anything lower you will need coilovers. pics of a 1.6" drop is in my profile if you want to take a look

Welcome to the .ORG :)

Congrats on your wise decision. I'm sure you'll be very pleased with your purchase

As far as performance mods go, here is a quick list, in order of cost/priority for most people (by no means exhaustive):

Speed/Power:
Intake (POP charger or Cold Air Intake) - Stillen, Frankencar, Place Racing, Injen, etc.
Y-Pipe - Stillen, Budget, Cattman, Warpspeed
B-Pipe
Exhaust - GReddy, APEX'i
Supercharger: Stillen, Vortech
Turbo
Nitrous Oxide: NOS, NX, Venom

Handling/Suspension:
Front Strut Tower Brace (FSTB)
Rear Sway Bar - Stillen, Addco
Spring: Sprint, Progress, Eibach, B&G, H&R, Maxspeed
Shocks: Koni, KYB
Coilovers: Cattman, JIC, Ground Control

Looks:
Clear Corners - your absolute first mod... required!
Cleared tails - David L
Rims - Do NOT get EVOS .... I have them. The less people that look like me, the better (sorry Max4speed, arrafio, lol).
Body Kit - Stillen, Sarona, Type S
Lights
Grilles: Trendz, Home Depot

All sorts of doohickeys to jazz up the inside and out.

Have fun, and use the SEARCH function (top right corner in the Forums).

Mike

I "second" this suggestion. (For future reference, mzmtg's tone and presentation of this should be studied and repeated)

You can learn TONS on the org through those 2 suggestions, particularly the FAQs. Then, before asking anything, try at least 1 search on the issue. If you express a LITTLE knowlege (and ask nicely), most .orgers will be happy to help you find the info that you seek.

Enjoy the max, and welcome!
