If you are auto and do mostly city driving, or drive less than 20 minutes whereever you may go, that could be normal.

Miles per gallon? Do you really run it to empty? 225 miles on a 12
gallon fillup is nearly 4mpg better than 225 on a 15 gallon fillup.
Let us know your miles-per-gallon and driving conditions/style, then
we may be able to help.

I have a 97 5spd with lots of goodies on it. I'm fairly aggressive
with the throttle, regularly hit over 100 on my way to work and end
up with about 20-22mpg depending on how many highway miles I can get
thrown in between fillups. The rest of my driving is on the damned
crappy, congested and over controlled city streets in Tucson.

I always get at least 300 miles to a tank, usually closer to 400. And, this is no matter how I drive. Go punchy go punchy GO!

I have 97 I30 Automatic that is driven entirely in town and gets an honest 20.5 MPG. That would equate to at least 300 miles per tank. Things done to improve drivability and mpg are:
1. New NGK Laser Platinum Plugs (OEM).
2. Install AMSOIL 2 Stage Air Filter.
3. Flushed engine and converted to AMSOIL 0W-30 Synthetic Oil.
4. Flushed and converted transmission to AMSOIL Synthetic ATF.
5. Flushed and converted Power Steering to AMSOIL Synthetic ATF.
6. Replaced PCV Valve.
7. Cleaned Throttle Body.
8. Replaced gas filter.
9. Always use 93 octane gas.
10. Flushed radiator, replaced anti freeze (Peak Extended Life) and added bottle of Redline Water Wetter.
11. Replaced battery and cleaned all ground connections I could find.
12. Installed new dimpled, plated and slotted rotors (Race Concepts Group Deal) with Raybestos Quiet Stop Ceramic Pads. Cleaned, lubricated, flushed and bled calipers.
13. Installed Dunlop SP 5000 tires. Keep tire pressure at 32 psi in front and back.
14. Planning on installing SS brake lines and paint calipers (Folia TEC).
15. Considering cleaning IAC but car is currently running great.
16. Rest of car is 100% stock.

All of this work was done in the last 3000 or so miles.

I have been keeping track of my mileage for the last 3 fill ups. I drive all highway miles and I have an automatic. Over the last 45.6 gallons of gas i have driven 1131.7 miles which comes out to be 25 mpg. I drive 120 miles a day and set the cruise at 75 mph.

I get about 300 to 350 all city driving to work (abt 10 miles each way in stop and go traffic.)

There's about 20 lights I go through to get to work...... and on a bad day I hit 21!

you have to change the fuel filter, when I got my max I had this kind of mileage (also 95) I was getting average of 16-19 mpg, when I changed that it returned to "normal" 21-26mpg. also change your air fitler if you haven't done that, it's a cheap replacement, even if the filter looks clean

Like the guys above said - maybe quite normal depending on if you drive a lot in the city & take a lot of short trips. The one thing I've noticed is that the the VQ mileage is more sensitive to short trips than sprited driving. My usual driving is about 90% city driving and trips less than 10 miutes and usually get anywhere between 18 - 21 MPG. I log my mileage everytime I fill up and the best I've got in the city was 22.5 MPG (360 Miles on 16 gallons) when 1/2 of that was city and the other 1/2 competing in a hill country rally where it was most of it was WOT and 100 + MPH speeds. Go figure......

On a side note you might want to check your spark plugs as well. An engine in need of a tuneup will hurt your average mpg.

You must have an automatic and drive city miles. Even in the city my 5 speed gets 400 miles on a tank. On the hwy I can squeeze out 450+ miles on a tank. City the avg mileage is 25+ and hwy it is 25-30 mpg. My Max is a 95 GXE with 120K miles. Mods are intake and Y pipe.
