Yeah...in my POS ford truck. Wasn't really a race but what a nice car it was. Dual twin tipped exaust, was a 4 door and had this little 1" rear spoiler accross the back. Was this a brand new one?? Wish I was in my Max....yeah right!!!!! him 0-60 like 6 seconds - me in my 99 auto like 8 seconds......maybe if he stalled it???? even then he would have beaten me. Nice car!!!! Also saw a 3.0c that looked like the M-coupe but didn't say M anywhere. Was an old lady and was an auto trans. 1st on I've seen.

No new 4-door M3 yet. Only the coupe.

97/98 were the only years of the M3 Sedan. If it's a 2K model or newer sedan they guy just plastered an M3 logo on it.

impossible

1998 was the last year for the sedans (I just got rid of mine a few months back when I got the Maxima).

One of the BMW tuners makes a 400hp version of the new 3-series -- it's possible you saw one of these, but I doubt there are many (or any)in existence...

m3

well this one may have been a tuner car but it had M3 looking wheels and tires(like wider in the back) and it didn't look even 2 years old...the front grill was different and the M3 badges were all in place. It also had dual exaust. Well who knows, all i can say is it was nice.

Was it the NEW body style or the old one? If it was the old body style I bet it was a 98......

when you say "Dual twin tipped exaust", you mean twin tips on left and twin tips on right? If so, it should be someone did an expensive custom jobs
cuz it's easier to do a dual exhaust on E36 M sedan instead of adding two doors on a E46 M3 coupe
plus on top of everything the new M3 coupe isn't out yet anyway. you will see few test car in CA though.

M3

yeah it had dual tips on left and dual tips on right and the bumper cove had cutouts for both sides. It did not look like a body kit slapped on though. Smallest rear deck lid spoiler I have ever seen though. From what you guys have said it must have been mint 1998 M3 with body kit....that little hatchback 3.0 I saw was cool too.
