How many QT. of ATF do I need?

How many QT. of ATF do I need?
I need to change my ATF in my 96' Maxima, and I can't find out how many qts i need and what to use? I got hayes manual and it say you have to drain it and measure how muct came out to know, but I would like to get some red line ATF and it seems like olny way to get it is to order it, and I want to order the right amount. also red line has like 4 different kinds and i don't know which to get?
