Well I pulled my car in the heated garage tonight to let it thow out a little and i rolled the windows down to let some heat in the cabin. I just went out there to roll them back up and move it out but the front passenger side window just clicks when i press up and it goes down fine. have any of you that have replaced regulators had this problem or are the symptoms different?

Yep!!

Actually, block, that's EXACTLY how my driver-side rear window sounded before I replaced the regulator. You'll know for sure once U pull off the panel to get to the innards. It only cost me exactly $64.23, shipping included, from Courtesy. Kaleb has the part numbers on his website, and blehm has the instructions on how to take them out on his website. It took me about 30 minutes, more or less, to do the job with basic hand tools. Just don't be a 'Gumby' like me and throw the motor away, thinking that Courtesy was sending me the whole assembly, motor included. I had to go dumptster-diving to get it back!

Basically, once you remove the panel, and activate the power window, you can feel the motor going, but nothing else happening. That was how I found out. And I saw how there was a plastic piece holding the cable in place, and it was all tore to h***!

As for rolling the window up, probably no safe cure for that except to try and manually pull the window up as far as you can, then maybe taping up the gap. I know it sounds cheezie, but just imagine yourself here where it's somewhere around -14 or so today, then ask yourself do you wanna look like a cheezeball or a popsickle??

P.S. No prob with the answer, bro..... 'each one, teach one'.

i bent a flat piece of medal, pulled off the door panel, and stuck it in there so the window is all the way up and the bottom of the piece holds the bottom of the window, and the top of it kind of wraps around the top of the door and holds it there, then just put the panel back on.

NOw i just leave the window lock on so no1 plays with it and don't have to worry about it tell i'm ready.

lol
ya well i tried wedging cardboard in it, then all kinds of cardboard and tape and i was ashamed to drive around in it with cardboard visible on the window, so i was like screw this i'll figure out a way to stop that SOB.
And it was during winter last year i think it broke too, so it's been about a year for me 2.
I need to buy the part and put it in but damn.
I'm broke and since i already got my eibachs and FSTB sitting in my closet i might aswell finish the suspension stuff first.

well when my reg broke on my old 240 i use a wire coat hanger. shape the hanger like a big S. the loop one on the bottom of the glass. the other end to the metal frame of the inner door. worked for me.
good luck..it's not too hard to swap regulators. just don't lose the 4 10mm nuts top and bottom of the regulator.

When mine broke,I cut the cable and pulled the window all the way up, then backed a bolt out and wrapped the cable around it and then retightened it untill I got mine fixed. Just remember when you're pulling out the mechanism and rail to pull the window back up, or (like me) will scratch the tint off your window! STUPID mistake! What was funny is that the new part looked better built than the original peice I replaced! Some replacement parts ARE better!
