Hey Guys - I need your opinion. I have a neighbor who is selling a mint 1995 Maxima GLE with 161k miles. it is a one owner car with service records, and is in mint condition. I was wondering what generally goes wrong with these cars around this mileage, and the price I should be paying. Thanks.

i have the same exact car and im at 163k and nothing wrong with it. The only thing i had to do was replace the starter, but that was couple K miles ago

 

I have the same car too. Mine has 167+K and just a few goodies...

Tranny issues are the only problems I've had, but the issues were caused by me and a heavy right foot.

 

Is it a five speed or Auto?

It is an automatic, and I could buy it for $2,700

Yes that's a fair deal. and by the way all GLEs are autos.

Get the car checked out by a mechanic and if its ok-buy it.
