Open hood.
Locate back of headlight housing.
Look for "O" shaped ring with wires in the center. Ring is about 2" in diameter. It has a latching mechanism like milk lids do. Seriously.
Squeeze the latch tabs and twist/turn counter-clockwise.
Pull the ring back.
(I forget if this step is necessary...if not, it will be obvious)Rotate the whole wiring/light assembly counter-clockwise.
Pull the assembly out.
Press the clip that holds the wiring harness into the bulb and seperate them.
DO NOT TOUCH THE NEW BULB WITH YOUR FINGERS.
Plug it in, reverse the process.

So are these HID "headlights" just bulbs or the real thing with balasts and whatnot?

I'm guessing they're just headlights - which are crap.

Ditch those and get yourself some Philips BlueVisions instead.

Or for $10 more, silverstars. Either is a better choice than what you have now.
