Today I tried to go to school and start my car… It gave me a nasty noise and did not start. After attempting this several more times I figured I need to jump start it. So I did it stared and worked fine for about 10sec. And died. I start it again and it dyes even faster. I try 1 more time and this time it dyes and the whole car is shaking as its turning off. Later in the day I tried to start it with a jump start, and same thing dies with a lot of shaking. What’s wrong with my I30??? I’m thinking about selling it now =-( Help me anyone! (there wasn’t that much gas in the car, it was on E, it was very cold that night, I did not drive the car for 24Hrs. and it was parked up hill about 10 degrees)

 

Your answer lies in that this line. Fill it with gas and change your fuel filter.

 

I assume all your lights and radio are working fine? Meaning your battery isn't dead.

I'd fill the car with a few gallons of gas and try it again. If that doesn't work, could be a bad fuel pump.

 

If you jumped it and it ran for a couple of seconds and then died it may be your alternator and a low battery. Check and make sure the belt is hooked up to the alternator, alternator problems have been common on maximas.
