Brrrrr..... Winter Tires

It snowed yesterday in NY, just a couple of inches though. God, it was depressing. Time to put some good snow tires on! In the past I've taken my prior cars (which I didn't care too much about) to Sam's Club to get something cheap and easy. I have no clue as to good snow tires -good roadgrip wet, dry, and icy conditions. What have you northernors used before that worked well for you?

Go to Tirerack.com and you can search lots of reviews for snow
tires. I've tried the Michelin Arctic Alpin and the are a very good
tire although expensive.

I use Nokian Hakkapleitta 1's. The are the best winter tires around. A little expensive, but worth it. I think I have seen them at http://www.etires.com. I live in northern NH, so I got hit with the same storm you did. This snow is gonna stay.
