I life in "RFN" (Radio Free Nevada) and have the XM radio installed in my work vehicle.I think it is the best thing since white bread. I have a 2k2 SE w/ Bose and was wondering if anybody has used the Delphi with the cassette hookup in their Maxima. How is the sound quality? Can the unit, including, the antenna set up, be moved from car to car?

 

Ive Installed about 12 of them!. Yes they can be moved from car to car depending how involved you get with installing the antenna. Ive had customers request that they just throw it up on the rear dash board and run the cable along side the carpet. Takes about 3 minits. Some people run it up the front windshield to stick the antenna on the drivers corner. Sound quality is like listening to a Perfect Tape. It sounds fairly well, and the unit is easy to transport.

 

i could install one of those kits in less than 20min in just about any car, only using my hands and maybe a panel popper I think since they came out ive installed litterally 30 of them!!

and to answer your question they work just as good as the dedicated and or rf mod'd systems offered by Kenwood and Pioneer.

Speaking of sound quality, this past summer I had the Alpine RF controller with both XM and the MP3 CD changer and I haven't been very satisfed the sound quality. The controller also has line level outputs. Does anyone have opinion about using the tape vs. the RF? OR does anyone know about any interfaces for a direct line hookup to the Bose system? Thanks.
