Is this for real... 12 HP increase? If so, how hard is installing a new muffler?

Thanks

12 HP gain on exhaust.. I say no.. None of exhaust will gain 12 HP.. It's not even cat-back. And it doesn't looks like it will fit on maxima, you might have to cut the back bumper to make it fit. Installation is rather diffcult, just go to your local muffler shop, they will do it for around $30. If you want performance go for either apexi, greddy, hks, and stillen.

It's full of lie. If you want dual tips, you can go for it. But don't expect 12 HP gain. I recommand apexi or HKS. They give you better performance(not 12 HP) and give you deep low tone (not loud). It's your money and your car, so you can do whatever you want to do.
If you want perfomance gain, get a y-pipe, intake, b-pipe, and keep the stock muffler if you want it quiet. But if you don't mind about little noise, get a aftermarket exhaust. It's not big different anyways.
Check out GB on apexi groupbuy. You can get universal exhaust for around 170-180 shipped.

You may get 12 HP, if you have a supercharger and a Y pipe. 12 HP peak that is...

he dynoed it

Ok the guy said he dynoed it and thats what he got with just the mufler and a "simple air intake". Hehe. So pretty much this mufler is adding like 5 maybe and the intake was adding the bulk of it. Im guessing...
