JaimeCBR900: another SAFC mounted under the radio section pic link inside
After a SE section meet JaimeCBR900 decides he needs a spot to install his SAFC. With little time in hand and not having the correct materials he had to go make a quick run to Lowes and left myself and Ramius83 to tear apart the dash
. After this installation and some more creativity we all talk about one of the tightest installations that came to his mind, and we all combined ideas like Monster Garage Techs that we are. The downfall is that we didnt have the materials to do the project but we ended up with this one instead.

Is removable but permanent if you want to put it that way. How ever I believe Ramius is on a mission to do something different. He ordered one and he has something in mind. Dont know if he will exercise the idea we had planned.

I want you guys to know that from start to finish, everything was done really Monster Garage style. Wayne and I ran for parts, Erik and Jay25 stayed tearing up the dash. We came back and started cutting w/o the benefit of a saw (one day I'll share how we did it), one guy was cutting plexi, the other was taking things apart, the other was screwing things into the dash, etc....Maxima nut jobs at their best.
I am pleased with the results and have already gotten compliments on it. Not bad for an install that took maybe an hour or so from thought to finish. I could of cut the plexi a little better had I had the proper tools, but I made do with what I had. It is pretty much permanently attached, but I have an idea of what I'm going to do to keep from attracting too much attention when I'm away...
Thanks to the fellows that made it happen; Jay25, Ramius83, and SMX.
BTW SMX, you tricked me with that final handshake..

I can see in your second pic that you were still wiring your SAFC harness. I hate finding those little wires!

No, actually I just had not finished tidying up and putting the plastic cover back. The AFC was already hooked up and working (that's also a long story behind that...ehem, ehem..). I just hadn't done any housekeeping when I took the pic. You are right though, it is a pain in the **** to count pins.
