Nitrous purge solenoid location?

I was cleaning out the standard nitrous fiter and adding a high flow nitrous fiter. I have a line running to my nitrous gauge in the engine bay.

1. Should the nitrous purge solenoid be immediately before the nitrous solenoid ?

2. Could I sandwich the nitrous gauge adaptor between the nitrous soleniod and the purge soleniod?

Is there a difference between the two setup?

1. If its NOS it goes before the nitrous solenoid, if its NX it goes after the nitrous solenoid.

2. Yes or before the purge.

I don't have a gauge under the hood, but I have my purge just before the nitrous solenoid. The closer the better that way you purge everything just before it goes into the nitrous solenoid on the way to the jet(s).

I don't see that either setup will make a diff really, except maybe for room to mount. One may need more than the other depending on where you have yours setup.

Re: Re: Nitrous purge solenoid location?

I was afraid mounting my gauge line adaptor after the purge solenoid would defeat or degrade perfomance of my purge kit. I could switch the two but it would make mounting the purge soleniod much more difficult because there is less room.

okay..this might clear it up a bit.

Setup #1. Nitrous bottle -> Gauge adaptor -> Purge solenoid adaptor
-> Nitrous solenoid -> Jets.

Setup #2. Nitrous bottle -> Purge solenoid adaptor-> Gauge adaptor -> Nitrous solenoid -> Jets.

Should work either way, there is little or no obstruction with the gauge adaptor and purge soleoid. There is enough nitrous flow through those fittings for about 300 HP so it shouldn't be a problem.
