all races where about 75 on. new 328 bmw , i walked him about 3 car lengths to 120. next a m3 maybe 96 (might have been a wanna be), we raced 3times and i beat him 1 out of 3. next a toyota supra early 90's i quess. beat him really bad . still hunting for 2k2 automax. we'll see what happens......

 

a 2k1 auto max should not be able to beat an M3. Are you sure it wasn't a 318 badged as an M3?

While a 96 M3 is not a car to be sneezed at, nor is it unbeatable. I could hang with 5 speed E36 M3's with my automatic 94 Taurus SHO at any speed above 15-20mph...they tend to get far better launches than the wheel spin happy SHO. Every time I raced one he would get about 1.5 cars ahead as we went through the intersection and then it was dead even...I woudn't gain an inch but nor could he move away from me.

I find a 1 for 3 win against a real 96 M3 to be very beleivable.

 

ive got a 2k1 Auto Max and I'm pretty sure I'd lose to my friends 328i. Do you guys think if i got a Y pipe and Intake i could beat him? His hp numbers are lower than a max's but his car is geared better and i think a little bit lighter.

 

Just the other day, a hyundai accent walked my M3..LOL!!

I race my friends manual 2k 328 off the line and he always beats me. He's got an exhaust and cold air intake.

from a roll on the highway is a different story

 

i'm sure it was a 3series 328 (new) . and the m3 was maybe a 96. they only had 240 hp so it is possible i could hang on the highway.as for comparison i have raced 92-95 sho's and beaten every one on the highway. and steady walking too.

 

but it's kinda true...

 

 

i'd race him in my 87 supra. he'd get beat REALLLY bad.
