Starter Problem!!

I had to replace my starter in January. IT turned out I shorted my iginition switch according to a mechanic. The starter went bad again 6 months later. I swapped out the starter again and it seems like the same thing happened again. Anyone have any ideas what is going on?

I would triple check your wires. Look for any corroded eyelits and damaged cabling.

How did you short it out ? did you not disconnect the positive wire on the battery before you worked on it ? , its only 2 wires, one clips in, one bolts on.

Mebey you just had bad luck? Thats why remanufactured parts have warantees. This time tell them to put the starter on the tester before you walk out the store. I was going to buy a starter for my camaro and 3 in a row fresh off the shelf tested bad on the tester.
