I AM PETRIFIED OF MY POTENZAS RE 92'S IN THE RAIN - CAN'T AFFORD THE PILOT A/S'S - ANYONE USEING THE NITTO NT 450'S IN STOCK 225/50/17 SIZE - I WOULD APPRECIATE SOME ADVICE OR ANY ALTERNATIVE STOCK SIZE TIRES ?

I have heard mixed reviews. I hear they are noisey and the wet traction is bad. But, what do you expect for cheap tires?

 

These tires dont have too much traction under any circumstances, wet or dry. At first I felt really good about these tires, but now after 3500 miles of them I wish I didnt get them. If I were you I would keep lookin around

 

I've had my 450's for over a year and i've wanted to get rid of them for all but the first week i had them. they suck dry when it's dry, they suck when it's wet. yeah, the pilots are expensive, but i'm gonan try to get some kinda hustle at sears between them matching prices or them being on sale, and the discount you get if you get a sears card (think they give a disc. first time you use it). last time they were on sale they were $899 where i'm at. first time you lose dry traction w/ the nittos you'll wish you had the pilots.

 

in the rain they are very crappy, they are also half of what the pilots costs so it sorta evens out
