Anyone know the REAL deal on Illinois window tinting?

I read somewhere that NONE is allowed on the front windshield, and front-side windows... but rear-side windows and rear windshield can have any tint they want.

If that's true, it sucks because I hate that half tinted look...

Does anyone know the real deal? What have been the experiences with cops?

 

Illinois law states that no tint is allowed on the front two windows, but six inches is allowed on the windsheild. Usually(i stress usually) won't pull u over for tint, they usually jus add it on to whatever ur getting pulled over for, i.e. speeding, wreckless driving...
