Turn Signal -> Fog light Rewire

I have no idea what it would look like and might actually be stupid BUT wondering if each turn signal could be rewired to the fogs. Basically the same process that is used with the side markers? Basically would flash at the same time as the side markers. (assuming your fogs are on and you already have rewired sidemarkers) Can the fog ground be interupted by a 12v from the signal? (I think that makes sense?)

Wait let me follow you here if im correct.

You want your Fogs to Blink when you use your turn signals?

Yes this can be done, but let me ask the questions of why would you want to do this? And do you realize that the H3 bulb is going to last maybe no more than 1month with all the blinking. Those bulbs are not designed to blink. This will lead to a very very shortened life span of the bulb.

If you really really want to do this, i dont hate on you, feel free, i can help you on it. But what kind of bulb are you going to put in there? Like a yellow one like i got ? or keep the standard h3 in there.

I'll do it as an experiment. Why not? Can always go back. What exact lights are you using for your H3? I have stock bulbs and PIAA Plats I can use. Do you think I can get away with just my stock fog bulbs. Just want to get an idea of what it looks like and how long the bulb will last. I'll never use the stock bulbs again anyways. What do you think the easiest way to do this would be?

Well let me put it this way, you dont want to use Piaa Plats unless you dont mind shelling out $50 for a test where the bulb most likely wont last more than 1month.

I got Piaa Crystal Ions.

The best way to go about this, let me think now.....

See I right now have my fogs rewires to come on with the parking lights. If I leave the fogs on and leave the car and hit my aftermarket alarm, the parking lights blick AS WELL as the fogs. So I know the best way to go about this is to tap into the rewire setup and have the turn signals give the 12V to the fog relay that way.

So everyime they blink, it pulsates the 12V to the relay as well in turn making the H3s blink. But you do realize with this setup you can never have the fogs both on for normal use. They would be no different than the turn signals.

Hmmm I'll try it out with the stock h3 for the hell of it. What wire on the fog would I connect the 12v relay to? It is kinda weird but want to try it. Basically when the fogs are on either one will flash with the turn signal (well at least alternate like the sides)

Edit: So that would mean they would flash when setting the stock alarm? And will flash even when turned off when the turn signal is on?

Also the ION Crystal would be the optimal bulb to put in aside from the burning out quick issue. Are there any half decent h3 yellow bulbs that are reasonably priced?

Your not reading my posts Birdman. Read it thoroughly. Not being rude.

First rewire your fogs to come on with the parking lights. But instead of TAPPING the parking light wire, tap the 12V wire from the blinker so the fogs flash. Simple. Damn I just thought of something, that will mean both fogs will flash on just the passenger side turn signal. That means you have to run two separate relays and also run a 12V blinker wire to each relay.

Shiet.......... this might be more complicated that I initially assumed.

Also I did not say my fogs blinked with my stock alarm, I said they blink when I arm and disarm the car with my aftermarket alarm. This only happens if I leave the fogs on.

Ok I think I got it now.... I did understand what you were saying before. I just wondered why I had to do the fog rewire first? Is it absolutely necessary for this to work?

Not necessary but it gives you a slight idea of what needs to be done when you retap the fog lights to turn on with another source. It is just a writeup to help you.
