Knocking sound. Suspension? please help

This isn't an engine related sound. It occurs when I drive over bumps, and now and then it occurs when I put a load on the engine. It seems to be coming from the left front. At first I thought it was coming from my FSTB (the FSTB made some knocking/creaking sounds until I oiled the two pivot points). I've recently replaced the front wheel bearings but I've never replaced the tie rod ends, control arm bushings or steering rack. Any suggestions?

I would focus on 3 areas:

1. The work that you recently performed (check it all over)

2. Motor mounts

3. Ball joints

I did have the struts replaced about a year ago. I'll check my work, then look at the motor mounts and ball joints. Thanks.
