Sunroof visors now available....

For those who dont know yet, you can now get your sunroof wind visors from your dealer under warranty. they finally found a company to make them and they made them available to order to dealerships about a week ago. Just an FYI for yaz.

Are you talking about the sunroof wind deflectors? I found cracks in mine right after buying it in July, and they've been on backorder until now!

Yes. And they ARE available. just go to your dealer. Some dealerships may be misinformed, but Ive got the invoice in hand and Nissan has the new ones in stock.

Don't they cause dirt build up, which if not cleaned regularly, will leave permanent marks on the roof? Or are the new ones supposed to be better? I'd like to get one, but I don't want to take it off every week to clean under it, or even worse, have permanent dirt/scratches on my roof.

Yes ive heard they do cause dirt to build up but it wont be noticeable if u dont decide to take it off again right? Ive got one and its fine but im sure if i took it off there would be marks on my roof, but since i dont plan to take it off i dont worry about it.

I think the car looks much cleaner without them. I took mine off a couple of weeks after I bought it. It's been sitting in my basement ever since.

I personally don't mind the look AT ALL (it does look better without it though, but not that much IMO). I'd be more concerned with the hassle of having to remember to take it off once in a while, clean under it, and put it back. Doing 85mph w/the roof open would be nice though!

well, im sure it probably depends on the dealership, but i would imagine they would install it for you. If they have any manners towards thier customers at all they will put it on for you.

This might be a stupid question but if the sunroof was cracked and you didn't bring it up to the dealer after you bought the car will they still replace the deflector for free. Mine has been cracked for a year.

to my understanding, if you bought the car and it is a 2002-2003 model and it had the visor as a stock item, you will get it replaced under warranty. it will crack eventually. just go to the dealer, if they give you trouble about it call 1-800-NISSAN1
