4 Gauge or 8 Gauge

Hello All,
I have a 500 Watt Jenson Amp, What gauge of wire should I use in hooking it up to my Max02? 4 or 8 Gauge? Thanks!

that 500W is probably a max rating, you could probably get away with 8 gauge, but I would go with 4 gauge anyways, in case you do any upgrades. Best thing would be 0 gauge and use a distro block to split into to smaller gauges (up to the maximum size the amp will accept!)

someone just asked that. It helps to use the search function before you just log on and ask a question. check out the thread http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=169451

It's funny how this guy gets told to do a search, yet no one nags the other guy for posting in the wrong forum!

Failure to post in the right forum is only a Misdemeanor, failing to do a search is a Felony

True..that amp probably makes 100-200 real watts.
