A sad day...
A sad day...
To my disappointment I was informed that my mom had an accident in her '98 200SX SE about 90 miles from home. About a week later the insurance company deemed it totalled. We took a drive to clean it out of anything she had, and the front end was all torn apart. The bumper was smashed, both headlights were hanging down, the radiator was busted in, the hood was bent and the front windshield was cracked. Both the airbags were kind of hanging out of the dashboard. A really depressing sight. I think anyone who's ever wrecked a car knows the depressing sight of a perfectly good innocent car being killed and sent to its final resting grounds. I had a similar accident a little over a year ago in my '89 Sentra involving a stop sign hidden in a tree. That still depresses me. Anyway, we took everything from the car we could, I grabbed the headlights that were hanging down and I now have new floor mats in my Maxima that say "200SX".
I guess it's another car that was sent to Sentra Heaven. Funeral services will be held. This makes my 88 Maxima the last surviving Nissan in the family.
