Yo,

I used to be in love with f150's and whatnot, but the time came for a new ride. My buddy owns a car lot and he is able to hook me up with good deals. Well we checked out his lot and he just got in a 96 nissan maxima, black on black fully loaded.
BEAUTIFUL.

I went ahead and got it, but the only problem is I know nothing about these cars. So please, if I ask some noob questions, don't hurt me too bad ;]

It's in pretty good condition, no mods done to it, I think it came from some old folks probably, has 82k miles.

The first thing I want to do really is get a new sound system. I was wondering if any audio gurus knew a good decent setup for around 600-700 max.
I don't need top of the line, but something on the almost higher-end audio equip would be nice to have.

Any suggestions/comments would be appreciated.

Congrats on your new ride, welcome to the org. And don't worry about it, I didn't know about the max untill 2months before I found my baby. Then I fell in love with the car and got some stuff to make it look better and go faster.

Go with JL audio. Their pretty much the best for car audio equipment. My friend has 2 10" subs and a amp and sais he paid like $620. If you don't want JL audio and decide to go with another brand, the best setup is 2 subs(10" or 12") and an amp(1000+ watts).
