I am trying to decide if I want to get a set of gunmetal rims. I have a 2k black gxe and I want to see what the gunmetal axis sevens will look like. If anyone could photoshop it for me or anything. Also drop it some.

Go to the Part For Sale forum. Naumann is selling his Volk's in Gunmetal on ebay...there are pictures on his ebay page. Look for the thread about 18x8.5 Volk LE37's.

 

Ok screw photoshop. How about just opinions of gunmetal wheels on a black car. I am looking at a set of axis sevens and they are a little gunmetal. Just want some opinions, if it will look to dark or what.

 

Well, the Volk's will give you an idea of what the Axis will look like. I think gunmetal is a good color for rims on dark cars.

 

i've seen the gunmetal sevens on black maximas before...it looked great and that's why i bought them. i still like the rims really much, but since they don't clear my brakes, and that's i am selling them.

 

If you just want an idea of what gunmetal rims look like on a black car, take a look at Matt Calder's Homepage. He has a 4th gen with gunmetal volks, looks hot!

how much do those Volks go for?? the Te-37's?

 

The TE-37s are beautiful. Classic, elegant, and sporty... everything the Maxima is. They are $$$. Depending on size, can range from $600-900 EACH! Since you need 4 (At least I hope you want 4!), plan on spending around the neighborhood of $2500.

Naturally the price tag is the only thing holding me back from getting them.

 

And oh yes, since I have a superblack (KH3) Maxima, I would get my wheels in gunmetal.

 

Personally, I don't like Gunmetal on black cars. I find it too dark and it makes it look as if the rims are dirty. I think that a brushed aluminum (not shiney like chrome) would look better. But then again I'm not paying for it so good luck with whatever you decide!

 

unless u get ripped off by the shops, typically you can get the TE-37s for around $450-500 a wheel(18inch).

well, actually, that's what my shop was going to charge me for them, but that's just a hook-up price, and they won't ship wheels.
