first time at 1/8 mile track

Went to the track for the first time 11/24. There are no 1/4 tracks around where I live for about 1 1/2 hrs. so I went to the local 1/8.
Went with a couple friends that drove 98 Integra GS-R (modded), 92 2 dr honda accord 5 sp(heavly modded) , and a 93 mazda mx-6(modded).

I think the best the gs-r did was 10.1 , the mx-6 10.06?, and the accord 10.7.

I have intake, strut bar, sprint lowering springs, short shifter(garage, soon to be on) on the maxima. Are my times decent, bad, good? and how can I improve next time esp. the MPH.????

What track did you run. I saw from your profile that you live in Greensboro. I live close to hickory. when I go to the track I usually go to Mooresville, Farmington, or Wilkesboro. Was it one of these three?

What kind of tires were you running on? The 60' time on your second run isn't possible on street tires in a Maxima. I think a piece of debris probably tripped the timing lights at the 60' mark early, or the track lights were just plain messed up in the first place.

Without knowing what your 60' really was, there's not alot of info we can give. Get back to the track and get some more runs in and we can give you lots of feedback.

Judging from your first run however, you need to shift a bit faster if you can. Launch is pretty decent, 2.30 is good for your first time ever at the track. The MPH is a little on the low side, so I think quicker shifts would find you an extra MPH or 2, since you will be spending more of the run accelerating, rather than coasting while your car isn't in a gear.
