2K Max. $9500 Is this a good price or what??

Hey 5th genners, I found a 2K maxima GXE 5spd for $9500 with 82K miles. First off, is this a good price? I know its a GXE so it doesn't have a few things but since looking for a 4th Gen and finding prices over $10,000, I say what the hell skip the 4th gen and go for a 5th gen. It says its in good perfect condition. So what you think?

Have you tried working with www.edmunds.com, www.kbb.com, etc. to estimate its value based on your location and what options you know the car has? Right now, having taken only very cursory runs through sites like that, that price is not unreasonable for a private party transaction. Since you mention the fact that 'it says its in good perfect condition' I take it you have not yet seen the car. Take a look. Run a Carfax report on the VIN to see if there are any major items in its history.

i'm usually very cautious about bying used cars for really low pricing and high mileage. But it's really up to you.

Even with that amount of milage, I think the price is too good to be true. Check CarFax for info on the VIN. When you go look at it, check for signs damage from an accident. The ad might say "looks like it is in good perfect condition" but looks aren't everything.

That price does sound like a bit too good to be true. I wouldnt trust CARFAX alone though. I had a pathfinder that was in an accident back in April this year with nearly $3500 in damages. I ran CARFAX on it 2 weeks ago and they found NOTHING! April - November? talk about slow reporting at the DMV. So do your homework and bring a mechanic and body shop person to do a full inspection. Also remember those states with the recent floods. You dont want to blow 9500 big ones

this is a good price for 2K GXE 5 spd with that kind of mileage. Just inspect it before buying. If you can live without sunroof @ other options, take it.

That's good price

I bought my 2k GXE max Auto with 35K for $12,500 and I thought it was a good deal until this. Just make sure it has a good title and never in a wreck. Kinda wish I bought a 5 sp instead otherwise I loved the max.

Hey anyone interested in the car can check out www.cars.com. Its in connecticut so i'm not really interested in going there to check it out. I may just give them a call today to see if its still for sale. Does anyone that lives in connecticut want to check it out for me?
