Does the bose h/u adapter from crutchfield work?

I want to replace the bose h/u with a single din but keep the speakers/amps. Will the adapter that crutchfield sells sound decent? All i need is for it to sound like the bose or better. Is it better to rewire with new speakers or will this do the trick?

I'm not power hungry when it comes to lugging around audio equipment.

Yes, the crutchfield adapter will work fine, but it is not the only place to get it. Your "better than average" car audio shop will carry one, thats where i got mine..$39.99. As long as it's a 4 line output converter, with a gain on each line, to adjust the power output from your new headunit to each speaker.
