The Most notable difference is the bodykit. Then there are the amber tint headlights an extra 5HP. HLSD(?) chrome door sills tintanium gas and break pedals and matching shifter. Those are all I can think of off the top of my head. I would definately pic up a used AE over a stock 2001 SE.

Oh yeah, I think it is 20th, not 25th anniversary. Not sure about that.

According to Nissan...this is what I've got...

Anniversary Edition Body Kit
Anniversary Edition Floor Mats
Anniversary Edition Trunk Emblem
Ersatz Carbon Fiber Interior Trim
Bronzed 17" Wheels
Viscous Limited Slip Differential
Drilled Aluminum Pedals
Perforated Leather Seats & Appointments
Chrome Door Sills
Body Colored Splash Guards
Magical Exhaust System Producing 5 Extra Ponies
Bronzed Headlight Assembly
Brushed Aluminum Shift ****

I don't get the "interior trim" thing (ersatz = fake, but it doesn't really look like carbon fiber at all). Personally, the perforated leather and the body kit are my favorite little perks.

Actually an org member sloppymax said he looked at his exhaust on a lift compared to an 00 max and he said the exhaust bends look totally different. I am not saying there is a 5 hp gain from it but who knows the 02 max has 255 hp right

Yup, got to give it credit...my AE only has 5 magical ponies that don't really exist...the 2K2 has 15 magical ponies that don't really exist.

Well the AE muffler AND AE B-pipe DO have different part numbers than those of an SE.

Michael - do you have any pictures of your exhaust from the B-pipe down?

He might have been looking at a 2K fed spec which has an S shaped pipe joining the main cat to the B-pipe (to accomodate the rear O2 sensor). All 2K1's and Cali spec 2K's don't have this.

now that i think about it, might have been a 2k fed spec. i asked about the part numbers and compared them to the regular SE's and they were different. it could probably be another way to charge more for the same part.

I can understand the muffler part number being different since the AE muffler has the different tips so it would have to have a different part number. But I wonder what's different about the B-pipes? Could it be that the AE isn't crimped after the resonator?
