Hi, I'm the one who was running the deal over at the eclipse forum and who was emailed. If you'd like to purchase the seat heaters at the group deal price of $74.71/unit plus shipping. You can reference the page I put up for the deal on the other forum for information about the units.

Send me a PM and I'll hit ya back with payment information. The vendor said I could keep sending customers over for the group price, but our policy on the eclipse forum is to have a set deadline.

Hope this helps a few people out who'd like some heated seats .

Here are the details of the heater units:

Carbon fiber is the industry standard offering the best in heat distribution and overall temperature consistency. Carbon based heaters allow for easy installation and customization and because we use a carbon element, it can be shaped to fit any seating application.

The Standard Control seat heater uses temperature sensors built into the heater pad. This is the control method. When the temperature reaches the upper set point, the sensor turns off the heater until the sensor reads the lower set point. This will fluctuate the seat heater temperature by +/- 5 degrees. This heater is economical and offers standard performance.
Here is a link to an image of the heaters and a diagram of the system .

Here are the install instructions in PDF format. Right click on save them to your computer if you'd like to keep a copy of them.

Here is the switch which comes with the unit.

These are carbon fiber seat heaters, not the cheap wire based ones. Mercedes uses carbon heaters in their car much like these. Here's a comparision of the wire and carbon units:

Traditional Wire Based (NOT THIS GROUP BUY)
http://www.seatcomfort.com/heatseat2th.jpg

Carbon Based Heater (what this group buy is for)

What comes in the box (1 unit):
  • 2 heater elements (back and bottom)
  • Round operating switch w/ high, low, off
  • 8' long wire harness with fuse
  • Installation Manual

The price is $74.71

Shipping charges are actual UPS charges, no handling fee.

You'll need 2 units to do the back and bottom of both front seats, however you can order just one unit if that's what floats your boat.

Well,I tried to put my whole post from the eclipse forums up here but this board won't let me put all the images and stuff in it. If you want to see all the images visit the eclipse forums, otherwise visit my above post.

Couple of questions?

On the 5th gen leather seats there is a crease that goes down the center panel of the front seats, will this cause a problem with these units?

And can u use a different switch on the install. the switch that come with the units are round right? the spaces on the center console in the 5th gens are rectangular in nature.

Also how long will u offer these at this price? Tired of a cold bottom, so i'm definitely interested.

Anyone install these yet?

Thanks

Is it a small crease or more like a channel? Vertical channels aren't ok, but if it's just a crease then it would be ok. The install instructions talk about fitment issues which you might want to read up on to make sure they will fit your car ok.

You could use a different switch for the install if you'd like. The vendor is willing to keep this going for a while longer, he didn't give me an exact date or I'd tell you .

It's more like a channel w/stitching but i will read the instructions to get a better idea of fitment issues.

Thanks

I am loving this idea but the thought of installing these scares me. Has anyone installed these in a Maxima? How hard are the seats to get out of the car and apart?

Ditto... my leather seats are so pretty now. I don't want to totally mess them up.
