My 97se Bose CD player has decided to stop functioning and displays an "Err" message after inserting a CD (I can get the CD out after some manipulating). Can anyone shed some light as to the cause and possible solutions.
Thanks.

The CD's I've been playing are originals...no burned CD's. Yes, I have the same problem with getting the CD's out of the player. Will try various CD's to see if that has any impact.
Thanks for your input.

I posted a message

about Bose cd players within the last week. It lists the number to call for parts, repair, etc and approximate costs.

Try getting a CD Laser...

cleaning disc and run that in there a couple of times. It might fix your problem.

burned cds

I believe the problem that you have in your cd player is because of the type of cds you have inserted (as suggested by MikeMax). I have had the same problems with burned cd's, and I have asked a couple of people why that happens. They have informed me that there are two types of blank cds-- one with 650 mb and one with 720mb. When they use the 720 mb cds and fill the cd to capacity (all 720 mb), they get an error, so what they do is they try to leave a bit of blank spaces--resembling those 650 mb ones. And they have told me that they they usually leave some space open in the 650's, else some cd players won't recognize it.
hope that helps.
