A local dealer has a silver on silver 1997 BMW 540i 6 speed manual for sale with 39K miles. Asking price is $35,000. Why should I keep my Max? Oh, do I want this car. Might have to trade up.

Ouch...just woke up. Wife says no. Damned...let that be a lesson to all that aren't married.

My last car was a '98 Z3, and I even bought it new. That thing was in the shop once or twice a month at least. All my neighbors thought I was a BMW salesperson since I was driving a different BMW loaner every few weeks.

isn't that great? get to try all different bmw cars?
i agree, if used, buy some extended warranty with it, they are not as reliable as japanese cars.

Humm...That's probably why the guy is selling so cheap. Kelly Blue Book said around $41K for the car. It's actually at an Infinity/Porsche dealer. The previous owner was a major pharmaceutical company who bought it for a high level exec.
