Frankencar vs. Injen CAI (gotta decide SOON so help me out)

ok, im stuck with a decision i have to make pretty soon.....which is better? the Frankencar or the Injen CAI?? ive heard Frankencar is basically the best but i want opinions from peeps WHO HAVE ONE OR THE OTHER intakes on their car. i know injen isnt really a CAI if you think about still being IN the engine bay, but anyway.....just let me know which is better performance wise...and BTW i used search and couldnt come up with anything .......thanks in advance!

dude...I'm going through the same thing...

I sit up at night weighing the pros and cons, i think about this during work, after work, while watching tv,......yes...I have issues.

I think I am going with the frankencar...

I know a dude that is selling injen's for $220 to your door...let me know if you want his email address. he's a helluva guy...but don;t know what his .org name is. but, everyone on here seems to like the frankencar better...

I decided today that I am going to buy the frankencar...I spend so much damn time thinking about this crap that even if i don;t like it, i'll just buy the injen later, and save money that way cause i am wasting so much precious work time (with a sales job, time = $$)

screw it. going to frankencar.com right now to buy myself a christmas present..

uhhh zach u havent had franken yet. im stickin with kloogy franken all the way and i think it sounds better then ingen as well due to the mid-pipe which i dont think any1 can argue with unless u dont like a intake that roars, then just get a K&N panel filter and STFU. my vote its frankencar. btw Y2KSESteve has had both ingen and frankencar and removed the ingen and went back to frankencar, kloogy ran this 1/4 0.4 sec (approx) slower with the ingen filter. ur choice man these are the facts. later

so frankencar is the way to go?? i havent heard much about the injen, but i did heard it was a decent intake.....when i was searching i did however run across some stuff that said it wasnt all that great, peeps even saying it felt like they actually lost performance with it but then again there were peeps saying it was a great intake and that they loved it. i dont know, i think ill stick with my first instinct and go with frankencar UNLESS ANYONE HAS ANY OPINIONS... i can not make up my mind! right now all i have is the "custom airbox mod" w/K&N drop in, and i know thats probably not much of a power adder at all, so either way i go i should expect to see an improvement over that right?

Injen is fantastic if you would like a less throaty sound, same dyno numbers as frankencar and a chance to get some water into your engine to seize it up

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait just a minute. You said you searched and you didn't find information about this topic?!?!?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the funniest thing I've ever heard in my life!

This has got to be THE most discussed topic on the .org! Just trying to start a flame war... that's what you're doing.

By the way... I love my Injen. Looks good, sounds good, performs good. No problem with water or with "losing performance". Only problem with it is worse gas mileage because I keep my foot in it a little more to listen to it growl! Oh, one more advantage to the Injen... if you order it now, you'll probably get it before the next millenium, unlike what some have reported about Frankencar.

frankencar. Period. If you want a TRUE CAI, get the Cattman one or the place racing one. Injen is NOT a true CAI. The filter sits behind the radiator and draws in even hotter air...

Just my opinion....

FrankenCar is like a fine wine. The more it ages (waiting period to get it) the better it gets

The intake from their website looks very nice and seems high in quality of construction. Has anyone installed one of these? If so, input please.

i think one person has installed this one......cant remember the org name or anything, but i swear i remember seein it.....and ive also thought about this intake too, since frankencar has had some shipping problems.....speaking of frankencar and shipping, say i order my silver frankencar w/k&n for 2001 max the 26th or 27th of december, pay with a money order, how long should it be b4 i get it??????? i know some peeps have said its taken like months and i dont think i wanna wait that long.......thats the reason i was looking elsewhere for an intake in the first place.
