Chrome door sills and 3M tape

I just installed my chrome door sills but the tape provided just wasnt enough to make them stick the way I wanted. Can someone tell me where to get some good quality 3M tape?? Thanks.

u mean double sided tape? You can usually pick it up at your local store like savons or walgreens, if not that then defintly a hardware store. 3M has a whole line of double sided tape, you should be able to find some easy. I think its like $3-4 per roll or something.

Ross, did you clean the doorsills like we discussed? What do you mean that it didn't stick the way you wanted?

And the tape from most auto supply stores is much better than the stuff at Home Depot. Home Depot sells tape to hang pictures from walls, etc. Auto parts stores sell molding tape which is basically what we use. Much higher grade tape with more adhesion.

Then maybe autozone or Oreillys would have some. The door sills are great and everything -- I LOVE THEM! but only 1 of the sills sticks really well and this is because it has a lot more tape than the others. I cleaned them well with nail polish remover and everything. Could you send me some maybe?? If not I can go to an auto parts store. Thanks. THe sills are wonderful!

I can send you a roll, I'll get it out either tomorrow or Fri. Is that ok? Glad you like them.
