polish lip?
polish lip?
I was thinking about polishing the lips on my rims and was wondering if anybody had any ideas on a easy process on doing so. Normally, I would just take some diff. types of steel wool and just put some elbow grease into it. BUT, these lips are big and was hoping to hear of another easier process. Somebody told me paint thinner to take the clear coat off. Heres the rim. http://www.1sikmax.streetracing.org/...ikmax_0004.jpg

your gonna have a hard time polishing around the spokes. good luck.
I did the same thing to my Racing Hart C2 Evo. I removed the clear with a brake cleaner and started sanding it down to remove the machine finish. I started with a 400 grit and worked my way up to a 1500 grit (wet sanding style). I did the lip and the face of the spokes. Then i finally used a high speed polisher to make it shine. I no longer have the rims, my friend bought it from me. Good luck!!!
