I get a hesitation similar to when one of my injectors went out, but its not quite as bad and only happens up to about 2.5-3k RPM. the check engine light came on for a little while but has since gone out, When my Injector went the light stayed on until I fixed it. Im not sue what this may be and I will probably be taking it into the dealer in a couple days when I have the time, but I would really appreciate any input!

Maybe you have a bad plug wire. My previous car developed a hesitation/stalling problem that I figured was fuel-related, but my mechanic changed the plug wires and the car instantly ran stronger than ever.

 

but would the same hold true for Ignition Coils?

 

Oh, I thought that all 3rd gens have plug wires. I haven't heard of coils going bad in Maximas, so it might be an injector problem again. Maybe the pin is sticking occasionally, causing an intermitent problem.
