Advice on transmisson prob 00 maxima
Hey guys i need some advice
My car (2000maxima) was leaking transfluid from the axle seal for a while. I was stupid and never got it fixed. A month later i got a clunking noise anytime the clutch was enagaged. I took it to nissan and they said i need a clutch kit and and a throwout bearing. Nissan was too expensive. I finallly got it into my local shop to do the clutch job for around 600$
My question is. Before my clutch gave out. I would get a lil pop out in low gears if i push it , and it would grind just a little only when going into 3rd and 4th. The grinding would stop once im in gear.
So should i change my synchro's while im at it or should the leak repair and new oil do the trick ?
