Great Service at a Nissan Dealership?

I hope that I don't get flamed...but comared to alot of bad dealership experiences. I had a great one. I took my 2000 Max in for service on the tranny slipping between 1-2 and head lights cutting off for a split second when putting the turn signal on.
And they replaced the head light stalk (switch) and rebuilt the entire tranny and replaced the converter also. Even thought I have done the 2002-2003 HID mod and some engine mods. (exhaust & CAI) They were aware of my mods and had no problem with doing the warranty work.
The only thing I can think is since they sell alot of mods, there OK with it.

Oh by the way I went to Courtesy Nissan and saw Ken Palmer (service guy). Never the less I am very happy.

I've also never had any trouble at QUEENS NISSAN on Rockaway Blvd. in Queens. Russell Lawson, the service manager is very friendly and honest with all my Maxima related service.

Glad to hear you had a good experience with our (Courtesy Nissan) Service Department. I shared your comments with our service manager.

I get good service all the time at Stateline Nissan in Kansas City.

Not quite Infiniti good, but good enough for me.

Where are you located? My Maxima has a jerk or popping when accelerating faster than anything other than slow from zero. Even in drive and the brake on you can feel this jerk. Sterling McCall here in Houston says this is normal.

We are located in far north Dallas.

You might ask the service manager at Sterling McCall to ride with you if you are not satisfied with their diagnosis. Be able to repeat the problem so he can understand what concerns you. Ask if the two of you can ride in a new Maxima to see if it has the same characteristics.

If he insists the problem is normal, ask if it can be documented on your repair order for future reference.

I'll try Courtesy

LatinMax,

Glad to here there is local dealer in DFW area that is interested in addressing Maxima problems.

I've been working with Trophy Nissan to solve several of the listed TSB issues for the 2000 Maxima - the two that really makes me angry are the wind noise and the TCM problem.

It took me three days to convince them that the car had the rotor problem - they finally agreed to do the work under warranty. They actually agreed the rotors were warped, but claimed that is because of my driving habits and not the car.

I'm still trying to get the bumper scratch addressed. It is going to the body shop on Monday. It took repeated called to service manager to get this done - my service advisor won't even update me on their progress - I think there just storing the car in the back until I get anxious and they will give it back in the same condition.

They think wind noise is to be expected at highway speeds and don't feel the delay from 1st to 2nd is a problem - I think his excat words were that he has driven cars that are worse than mine. What kind of reason is that for not fixing it.

I thought the sales people at Trophy were super - service department is seriously lacking in the service part.

I'll be heading the Courtesy as soon as I can.
