Slick car washing idea...
...don't know if this is an original, but a buddy of mine (who lives in an apartment) got an idea this weekend to use a garden sprayer for washing his car in the garage that he rents!
What he did is brought a bucket of soap and water, and a garden sprayer (the yellow one by Ortho - $20 at home depot). He said it worked out real nice and was a good alternative than taking it to a self serve power wash place. I was so impressed with the idea, I was mad that I didn't come up with it while I was renting for 6 years.

I know this should be in the cleaning your car thread but since you asked........ I use a leaf blower to get all the excess water off the car before I dry it. It gets all the water out of the channels and such.
